Job Opportunity: Experienced Social Worker - Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council

Position: Social Worker - Cared for Children LAC/CIC/CLA Team
Location: Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council
Salary: £37.22 per hour (umbrella)
Additional Benefits: 1 day off every 3 weeks paid

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of Looked after Children
• Conduct Core Assessments under Section 20
• Perform Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47
• Conduct Viability and Kinship Assessments
• Undertake Risk Assessments
• Collaborate closely with partnership agencies to support families and meet children/young peoples needs
• Develop and implement Care Plans
• Attend court proceedings and provide evidence as required
• Obtain Interim Care Orders/Interim Supervision Orders

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years experience as a social worker within childrens services
• Registration with Social Work England
• Valid driving license and access to own vehicle
