Team Leader (High-Speed Rail) - Turkey

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is supporting a Major International Consultancy with an ongoing High-speed Rail project in Turkey.

Opportunity & Responsibilities:

The role shall be working as part of an international team supervising the construction for an European Union funded High-speed passenger and freight line. Working on behalf of the end client the successful individual shall be working closely with various stakeholder to ensure that construction is completed (planned for late 2025) and the defect liability period (until 2027).

The client is looking for someone from a Civil Engineering background but with strong 'project wide' experience and who is familiar with FIDIC contract conditions and ideally EU funded projects.

Key requirements for the role:

• Degree qualified, Civil Engineer (or related subject)
• 15+ years of general professional experience,
• 7+ years of experience as Project Manager, Team Leader, or equivalent position for supervision of construction projects
• 5+ years of experience in a position of direct responsibility for the management of construction supervision as Project Manager, Team Leader or equivalent position in the implementation of railway construction/rehabilitation projects
• 3+ years of experience, as Project Manager, Team Leader, or equivalent position in the Engineer side for works contracts implemented under FIDIC Conditions or Contract
• 3+ years of supervision experience in construction of high-speed railway project with a minimum design speed of 160 km/h
• 2+ years of railway design experience (infrastructure and/or superstructure) excluding design review is an asset

Salary Package:

The position is likely to be paying a day rate of between €500 to €600 per day (€11,000 to €13,500 per month) with accommodation, travel, car and other benefits.
