Our client is a leading supplier of modular buildings, is seeking a skilled Labourer with modular experience to join our team in Purfleet. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with innovative modular construction solutions and requires a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Site Preparation: Assist with the preparation of construction sites for modular building installations, including clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and ensuring site access for delivery vehicles.

  2. Material Handling: Handle and transport construction materials, components, and equipment to and from work areas, ensuring they are stored securely and in accordance with safety guidelines.

  3. Assembly Assistance: Assist installation teams with the assembly and installation of modular buildings, including lifting and positioning modules, securing connections, and supporting structural elements.

  4. General Labour Tasks: Perform general labour tasks such as digging trenches, mixing concrete, operating power tools, and assisting tradespeople with their tasks as required to facilitate construction activities.

  5. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

  6. Site Cleanup: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness on construction sites, clearing waste and debris, sweeping and tidying work areas, and disposing of materials in designated bins or recycling areas.

  7. Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and other stakeholders regarding labour activities, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns or queries in a professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Labourer, preferably with experience in modular construction.

  • Valid driving licence is essential for this position.

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors and tradespeople.

  • Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform manual labour tasks in various weather conditions.
