Our client is a leading supplier of modular buildings, is seeking a skilled Painter with modular experience to join our team in Purfleet. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with innovative modular construction solutions and requires a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks and holes, and applying primers as necessary to ensure a smooth and uniform finish.

  2. Paint Application: Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of modular buildings, using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve high-quality results.

  3. Colour Matching: Mix and match paint colours to specified shades and finishes, ensuring consistency and accuracy in accordance with project requirements and client preferences.

  4. Special Finishes: Apply special finishes such as textured coatings, stencils, and decorative effects to enhance the appearance and aesthetic appeal of modular building interiors and exteriors.

  5. Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for flaws, imperfections, and inconsistencies, rectifying any issues and ensuring that finished work meets quality standards and specifications.

  6. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring that painting work is carried out safely.

  7. Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and other stakeholders regarding painting works, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns or queries in a professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Painter, with specific experience in modular construction preferred.

  • Valid driving licence is essential for this position.

  • Strong practical skills and knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
