Job Description

Our client is a leading supplier of modular buildings, is seeking a skilled Joiner with modular experience to join our team in Purfleet. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with innovative modular construction solutions and requires a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities:

1. Modular Joinery Work: Undertake joinery work on modular buildings, including the installation of doors, windows, partitions, skirting boards, architraves, and other internal and external joinery components.

2. Carpentry and Woodworking: Perform carpentry tasks such as cutting, shaping, and fitting timber components, as well as constructing and installing bespoke joinery items to meet project requirements.

3. Interior Finishes: Install interior finishes such as wall panels, ceilings, flooring, and cabinetry, ensuring precise measurements, alignments, and finishes to achieve high-quality results.

4. Exterior Cladding: Install exterior cladding systems, including timber cladding, composite panels, and other facade materials, to enhance the aesthetic appeal and weatherproofing of modular buildings.

5. Modular Furniture: Construct and install modular furniture items such as desks, shelving units, and storage cabinets, providing functional and space-efficient solutions for modular building interiors.

6. Repairs and Refurbishments: Carry out repairs, replacements, and refurbishments on joinery elements of modular buildings, addressing damage, wear and tear, and other issues to maintain quality and longevity.

7. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times, ensuring that joinery work is carried out safely and that appropriate precautions are taken to protect personnel and property.

8. Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and other stakeholders regarding joinery works, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns or queries in a professional manner.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Joiner, with specific experience in modular construction preferred.

• Valid driving licence is essential for this position.

• Strong practical skills and knowledge of joinery techniques, tools, and materials.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to precise measurements and specifications.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
