Cell Development Engineer - Prismatic

Job description The role is to facilitate prismatic cell development and support the lead/manager in analysing data, generating reports, and summarizing key information. Each cell development requires a lot of paperwork and hands-on work.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize battery experiences to support prismatic cell development from design to completion
• Conduct testing, characterization, and failure analysis to understand cell development issues
• Analyse electrochemical test results and generate comprehensive reports
• Support the lead engineer or manager to prepare critical documents and summaries
• Coordinate with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot production issues
• Design experiments and tests to validate new designs -Track documentation and records for design and process changes
• Generate new ideas and collaborate with other colleagues proactively

Requirements:

• Familiar with Li-ion battery cell development with experiences in cell design, cell chemistry, cell manufacturing, or cell testing
• Understand Li-ion battery cell performance, safety evaluation methods, and sufficient knowledge to interpret data
• Background in Chemistry, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering disciplines
• Experiences in a metal housing, welding, or metal joint techniques
• Design experience in cap assembly for prismatic cell A plus
• Analytical skills to investigate cell failure mechanism preferred
• Working knowledge in the prismatic cell manufacturing process.
