Hourly Rate: £35 per hour

Job Summary:
Join the vibrant community-based team at Oxfordshire County Council as an Occupational Therapist (OT). We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to support our community-based assessment and equipment provision services. Whether youre an experienced OT or a newly qualified professional, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals within the Oxfordshire community. Experience with Liquid Logic software is advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments of individuals functional abilities and environmental factors to determine their needs for equipment and adaptations.
Recommend and prescribe appropriate equipment and assistive devices to enhance individuals independence and quality of life.
Collaborate closely with clients, their families, carers, and other professionals to develop holistic care plans tailored to individuals goals and preferences.
Provide expert advice and support to enable individuals to overcome barriers to daily living activities and promote their well-being.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, and equipment provision in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
Requirements:

Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification, with current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a community-based setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Familiarity with Liquid Logic software is advantageous, but training will be provided for candidates without prior experience.
