Job Description
A leading manufacturer of advanced lithium-ion battery cells, is seeking an experienced Process Manager to oversee all aspects of the battery cell manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 8+ years managing complex battery cell production operations, with expertise spanning the full manufacturing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize the entire battery cell production process, including cell formation, assembly, testing, and packaging
- Continuously analyze process performance data to identify opportunities for improvement in quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and quality teams to implement process enhancements and troubleshoot issues
- Develop and maintain robust standard operating procedures, process control plans, and quality systems to ensure consistent, high-quality output
- Monitor key performance indicators and production metrics, and provide regular reports to leadership
- Lead a team of process engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance management
- Partner with equipment vendors and automation providers to integrate new technologies and optimize production workflows
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 8 years of direct experience in battery cell or other advanced electrochemical manufacturing operations
- Proven expertise in process design, optimization, and control for battery cell production
- Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience interfacing with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of Greek language a plus
