We are seeking a talented and experienced Battery Process Engineer specializing in Formation to join our clients Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of battery formation processes, ensuring the highest levels of quality, efficiency, and scalability. Your expertise will play a vital role in driving our mission to revolutionize the energy storage industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formation Process Development: Lead the development and optimization of battery formation processes, including charging and discharging protocols, to achieve desired performance and reliability.

  • Equipment Selection and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select, design, and commission formation equipment and systems that meet production and quality requirements.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve and refine formation processes to enhance energy density, cycle life, and overall battery performance.

  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures to ensure consistent battery formation results, and troubleshoot and resolve any process-related issues.

  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data from formation processes to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Scale-Up: Work on the scale-up of formation processes from laboratory to pilot and production scale, ensuring seamless transitions and maintaining product quality.

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations in all formation activities.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and standard operating procedures related to formation processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus. -Proven experience in battery formation process development and optimization.
  • Familiarity with battery chemistry and electrochemical systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
