Electrical Contracts Manager

*3 month rolling contract*

The role:

• To ensure that the council's obligations under the Electrical Regulations and other associated health and safety regulations are adhered to and enforced.
• To manage the servicing and inspection programmes for areas including, but not limited to, electrical safety, lifts and lifting equipment and door entry, ensuring the council remains compliant with its statutory and non-statutory obligations.
• To manage the repair contracts for areas including but not limited to electrical safety, lifts and lifting equipment, door entry.
• To act as the responsible person enforcing the council's legal right to access for electrical safety under the housing act, representing the council at court in order to gain access.

Key Skills and experience:

• An in-depth understanding of electrical safety legislation and best practice in the context of a larger social housing provider.
• Proven experience of managing electrical servicing and repairs contracts.
• Experience of developing services and improving customer satisfaction
• Contract dispute and resolution including various forms of contract.
• Proven experience of team management where targets are exceeded and effective, efficient services delivered.
