• Qualified Social Worker / Social Work Professional required to join a statutory Family Support and Protection Service (Safeguarding Team)
• Office base: Wiltshire Council - Salisbury
• Hybrid working
• £35ph
• You must have a social work qualification and full SWE registration as well as relevant experience to be considered

To be considered, it is essential that you have a recognised Social Work qualification (Social Work Degree or Diploma in Social Work) and full Social Work England registration as well as recent or significant relevant experience in a similar role.

We are based in Beautiful Salisbury, only a 10 minute walk into the city centre. We are a team made up of A Team Manager, 4 ATM's, An ASYE Development Manager. Social workers and Family Key workers. We are supported by a dedicated admin team

As a social worker in the support and safeguarding team you will have the opportunity to work with children from the point of referral right through to permanency. Managing a diverse case load of child in need, child protection and court work. We are a large team covering the south of Wiltshire. We have a well-established management team, a stable and supportive team, reflective supervision, and hybrid working.

We are working flexibly, and our workers complete a mixture of working at home and office based. Visits to children will take place across the south of Wiltshire.

Social workers in the support and safeguarding team have a mixture of single assessment, child in need, child protection and court work. There is an opportunity to develop practice and experience with a variety of situations.

We work closely with our partner agencies. We are co located with the police and work on the same floor as the officers in the Child Abuse Investigation Team. We have excellent relationships with local schools and health colleagues.
