Resettlement Team Manager

Location: Harrow

Salary: £267.24 UMB P/D

Duration: 9 weeks

Role Purpose:
We are seeking a Resettlement Team Manager to lead our efforts in supporting families arriving and integrating into Harrow under various resettlement schemes including the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS), the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy (ARAP), Vulnerable Person Resettlement Scheme (VPRS), and Homes for Ukraine Scheme. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, set the strategy, and deliver plans and activities in collaboration with external partners and cross-council stakeholders.

Measures of Success:

Lead a multi-agency team to respond effectively to the needs of refugees and migrants in Harrow.
Maintain oversight of all resettlement programs across the council and allocate funds effectively.
Coordinate stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery and build relationships to meet needs.
Translate national policy into local action, promoting dignity and respect for refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers.
Climate Vision:
The successful candidate will contribute to our Interim Climate Strategy as part of their objectives.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

Support and develop the Resettlement team.
Resolve escalated issues.
Collaborate with all directorates for successful program delivery.
Work with voluntary and community sector partners to build capacity and resilience.
Provide briefings to relevant members and senior management.
Maintain constructive relationships with central government departments.
Identify opportunities for service improvement and synergy.
Represent LB Harrow and partner with other organizations.
Highlight positive outcomes and impact.
Ensure compliance with budgets and policies.
Analyze national policy changes.
Demonstrate resilience and sensitivity in dealing with traumatised individuals.
Promote equal opportunities, positive health and safety culture, and information security compliance.
Motivate, train, develop, and manage staff effectively.
