Analyst - International Project Finance and M&A (m/f/d)

As an Analyst - International Project Finance and M&A (m/f/d), you'll play a crucial role in aiding our Senior Managers with financing our international ventures and shaping financial strategies for new projects, markets, and M&A deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing project finance and M&A transactions (both buy and sell side), encompassing due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation groundwork.
  • Design cash flow models to assess project viability and investment prospects, incorporating sensitivity and scenario analyses.
  • Craft presentations, teasers, information memoranda, financial reviews, and other materials for both internal and external stakeholders (investors, banks, etc.).
  • Engage in discussions and negotiations with clients, legal counsel, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform strategic decisions.
  • Aid in nurturing and expanding our network with international and local banks, multilaterals, ECAs, DFIs, and both financial and strategic investors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field; CFA or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment banking, M&A consultancy, or corporate/project finance.
  • Proficiency in cash flow modeling, business valuation, and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; German proficiency is beneficial but not mandatory. Additional languages are appreciated given our global reach.
  • Solid expertise in MS Excel, particularly in CFM models.
