Caritas work with Cafcass to support with their recruitment. We currently have locum FCA roles available with Cafcass Birmingham.

As you would expect there are a few key things Cafcass need from you:

  • You need to be a Qualified Social Worker with 3+ years' experience
  • You need to be an expert in safeguarding
  • You need to have Section 7 (Private Law knowledge; experience is desirable but not essential)

Cafcass' work is demanding so for you to succeed and truly make a difference you should be someone who;

  • Is resilient and organised and can work proportionately
  • Has strong intuitive IT skills
  • Is an effective verbal and written communicator
