Job Description


A Repairs Planner is required for a contractor based in Greater Manchester for an initial 3 months contract which could lead into a permanent post. The role is working on behalf of a housing association covering the Oldham area.

Key responsibilities:

  • Scheduling for Empty Homes
  • Scheduling for Responsive Repairs
  • Scheduling for pre-inspections for responsive repairs
  • Scheduling for Gas responsive repairs
  • Scheduling for annual gas safety inspections
  • Liaise with operatives by telephone throughout the day; ensuring appointments are met
  • Administration support
  • Be a point of call for the Repairs Service team if a scheduling system problem occurs and to relay this problem to the Planning & Support Manager if needed.
  • Be responsible for undertaking the daily diary scheduling for numerous operatives on the scheduling system. To deal with all unavailable appointment periods by the re-organisation of work to other operatives and negotiation with customers as required.
  • Liaise with operatives by telephone throughout the day, to ensure that all appointments and target dates are met, and key performance indicator targets achieved.
