Social Worker required for work within the Out of office Team based in Plymouth in Devon. Competitive rates of pay £48ph. 3 month minimum contract with opportunity to extend. Close to the beautiful beaches of South Devon with good transport links via the A38 to M5..
Our Out of Hours Team provides critical support to vulnerable services users, children and families needing an urgent social care response in the evenings and over weekends, and also to Plymouth residents needing urgent support with Housing and adults social care matters. We would like to hear from experienced qualified social workers who are interested in joining the out of hours team. With the support of a Team Manager, you will be confident in working with partners to provide an appropriate response keeping vulnerable service users safe and liaising effectively with day-time colleagues when needed.
Our social workers work restoratively with children, young people and families by being trauma informed and strengths based, building relationships to understand lived experiences and provide the right support at the right time to enable long term positive change.
You will be committed to strong, relationship driven practice and have experience of working directly with children and families to enable risks to be identified and well managed and to bring about improved outcomes. In return you will be part of a supportive team, have access to excellent learning and development from our Academy and access to strong multi-disciplinary approaches.
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
