We are working with a leading engineering consultancy based in Hertfordshire, they are seeking a talented Public Health Design Engineer to join their expanding team. As a key member of the business, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing innovative solutions to address public health challenges in various projects. If you are passionate about creating healthier environments and making a positive impact on communities.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop public health engineering solutions for a diverse range of projects, including healthcare facilities, residential buildings, commercial complexes, and public infrastructure.
* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate public health design principles seamlessly into building designs and infrastructure projects.
* Conduct detailed assessments and analyses to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to public health and sanitation in all design projects.
* Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept development to construction and commissioning.

Projects You Will Be Working On:
1. Healthcare Facilities: Designing advanced plumbing and sanitation systems for hospitals and medical centres to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and infection control.
2. Residential Developments: Implementing sustainable water management solutions and efficient wastewater treatment systems for residential communities to promote healthy living environments.
3. Commercial Buildings: Integrating innovative technologies such as greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting systems into commercial building designs to reduce water consumption and environmental impact.
4. Public Infrastructure: Contributing to the design of public sanitation facilities, drinking water distribution networks, and wastewater treatment plants to improve sanitation and public health outcomes in urban and rural areas.

Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Public Health Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
* Proven experience in public health design engineering, preferably within the built environment sector.
* Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, water treatment processes, and sanitation principles.
* Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
