Job Title: Hands-On DevSecOps Leader

I am looking to speak with experienced Hands-On DevSecOps Leaders to build out this client's team and play a pivotal role in shaping their infrastructure, cloud and security practice.

Position Overview: As a Hands-On DevSecOps Leader, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure, security, and DevOps practices. You will play a key role in driving automation, best practices, and security throughout our development and deployment processes. This role requires expertise in Terraform, Linux, and a deep understanding of cloud services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the development and maintenance of infrastructure using Terraform, creating scalable and automated solutions for deployment and management across various cloud providers.

  2. Cloud Agnosticism: Oversee infrastructure operations across multiple cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring a cloud-agnostic approach to maximize flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

  3. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, ensure compliance with industry standards, and conduct regular security audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

  4. Automation and CI/CD: Champion and establish CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable releases.

  5. Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively detect and respond to incidents.

  6. Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of DevOps and security professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.

  7. Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevSecOps and cloud computing.

Desired Experience:

  • Strong proficiency in Terraform and Linux system administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud providers and services.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
