Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Adult Social Care team in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing the needs of adults with disabilities or health conditions, and providing specialist advice and support to promote independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals needs, strengths, and goals.
Develop and implement person-centered care plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other professionals.
Provide specialist advice and support to enable individuals to overcome barriers to independence and participation in daily activities.
Recommend and provide equipment, adaptations, and environmental modifications to facilitate independence and improve quality of life.
Liaise with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and community resources to ensure holistic and coordinated support for service users.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in line with professional standards and departmental policies.
Requirements:

Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist within adult social care or a related field.
Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to apply a person-centered approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines in adult social care and occupational therapy.
Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional standards and codes of conduct.
