Electrical Engineer - Solar PV Development - Milan

Company Overview: EWI is proud to partner with a leading Italian-based Renewable Energy developer dedicated to advancing solar photovoltaic (PV) projects across Italy. Founded in 2012, our client is driven by a vision to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy solutions and is now expanding its operations. We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in solar PV to join their dynamic team.

The Role: As an Electrical Engineer - Solar PV Developer, you will play a vital role in the development of solar PV projects, focusing on technical feasibility assessments, design, and documentation preparation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting technical feasibility assessments for solar PV plants and electrical interconnection infrastructures, including HVOL and substations.
• Designing all aspects of solar PV projects, including resource assessment, layout tradeoffs, agrivoltaic plants, civil works, and electrical infrastructures.
• Developing technical documentation for various project stages, such as Sole Authorization, Grid Connection, Construction, and commissioning.
• Collaborating with internal experts and external consultants to support project design and technical due diligence.
• Creating technical drawings detailing land affected for surface rights or acquisition contracts.

Requirements:

• MSc in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in solar PV plant design and electrical interconnection infrastructures (HVOL and substations).
• Experience in preparing technical documentation for grid access and connection requests.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Advanced proficiency in PVsyst, PVCase, AutoCAD, and QGIS.
• Ability to work independently with commitment, creativity, and accuracy.
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluency in Italian and English languages.
