Electrical Engineer - Solar Developer - ASAP START

Position Overview: Our client is currently seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team in Milan. As an integral member of our solar development projects, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems for solar energy generation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge renewable energy projects and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design electrical systems for solar energy projects, including PV systems, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Conduct detailed electrical engineering analysis, simulations, and feasibility studies to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Develop electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Perform site evaluations and assessments to identify potential electrical challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  • Support project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during project construction, commissioning, and testing phases.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in solar energy and electrical engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical system design, power distribution, and grid integration principles.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP) and simulation techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE) governing solar energy systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Italian; proficiency in English is a plus.
