Job Opportunity: Join Lancashire County Council as a Full-time Qualified Social Worker in Children With Disabilities Team.

Location: Burnley and Pendle, Lancashire, UK

Rate: Up to £37 - £41 per hour (DOE)

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with experience in working with children and young people with severe and profound disabilities? Lancashire County Council is seeking an experienced QSW to join their specialist Children With Disabilities Team.
Current the office base for the Burnley and Pendle CwD Team is being identified and therefore there is increased agile working, utilising a range of office bases and the local short break childrens home for Team working.

About the Role:

  • Provide comprehensive social work support to children and young people with severe and profound disabilities and their families.
  • Undertake a variety of social work tasks, including assessment work, supporting children and young people through Child in Need (CiN) Plans and Child Protection (CP) Plans, and facilitating transitions for care leavers.
  • Work closely with other professionals and services to ensure holistic support for families.
  • Embrace a strengths-based, partnership approach to social work, focusing on building positive relationships and empowering families.


Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
