Job Description
The Complex Safeguarding Team in Tameside are looking for an experienced, creative and committed social worker with a good knowledge, and experience of working with young people who are at risk from child sexual exploitation, child criminal exploitation, gangs and serious youth violence and can demonstrate a flexible approach with a passion for working with adolescents.
We have a strong focus on building trusted relationships and a trauma informed approach with young people alongside the disruption of perpetrators.
Office based role with occasional opportunity to WFH with agreement from HM.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Working closely with colleagues from GMP, Health and other partners to deliver best possible outcomes to those at risk/victims of exploitation.
Complete specialist exploitation assessments and risk reduction and support plans.
You will deliver direct work to young people and their families You will have experience of delivering interventions to address concerns such as violence, offending, anti-social behaviour, substance misuse, peer pressure, ACEs and impact of trauma.
A key part of the role is to work with colleagues in social work teams across Tameside to support and advise on exploitation issues and to develop and sustain strong working relationships with a range of partners.
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 2 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
