Job Description

Position: Production Planner

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000

Location: Kempston

Proactive are currently working with a client who are a market leader in their field based in Kempston.

The client are currently in need of a Production Planner. The need is due to rapid company growth, the successful candidate will be joining a thriving business and be helping maintain the site's function through this exciting influx of work.

You will be responsible for:

• Data entry and management within the business ERP system.
• Creation and collation of manufacturing works orders and schedules for the metal shop processes.
• Planning and requesting via purchasing raw materials in line with the production schedules.
• Pre checking / amending work order requirements prior to final production release.
• Liaising between the different departments within the company.
• Regularly co-ordinate with planning department regarding the overall production schedule.
• Creation and collation of manufacturing works orders and schedules for the metal shop processes.
• Ensure that the company works order system is used correctly to enable product traceability, printing and collating picking schedules making sure that we are working to the correct revision.
• Pre checking / amending work order requirements prior to final production release.
• Stock control of raw materials including safety stocks, monitor and report to purchasing any shortages / issues.
• Work closely with the other departments of the business to share information in a timely manner.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Use of and ERP / MRP system
• Previous planning, scheduling or administrative role
• Worked in a manufacturing environment.
• Numerate and accurate
• Proficient in the use of MS office software (word and excel)
