Position: CNC Setter Operator

Salary: £13.00ph - £20:00Ph Depending on experience and shift

Location: Essex

Hours: Full Time 40 hours per week

Choice of Early Shift 06:00am - 14:00pm or Late Shift 14:00pm - 22:00pm or Night Shift 22:00pm - 06:00am

Proactive are currently in search of multiple CNC Setters for a world leading Aerospace and Automotive company based in Essex. They are at the forefront of delivering the parts that matters to their customers. Through innovation and collaboration, they have put their customers ahead of the competition in the automotive and aerospace industry.

We currently have a variety of shifts available including Early Shift, Late Shift and Night Shift which will include a shift premium.

Job Focus:

Your role as a CNC Setter will involve setting and operating on CNC Lathes or Milling Machines.

Key accountabilities:

• Working on the machining platforms, producing various components across all the major projects.
• Setting and operating CNC lathes or mills using Siemens controls.
• Working to client Technical Instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high quality machining across a variety of different components and product families.
• The interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
• The assessment of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards.
• Working within a team to effectively resolve quality issues and ensure your work is being completed to plan.

Skills / Experience:

• CNC machining experience (setting and operating)
• Previous experience working with aerospace or automotive components would be preferable.
• Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
• Pro-active and patient individual capable of managing your time effectively.
