Senior Estimator - Pallas

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing, managing, supervising, and taking accountability for the development of cost estimates.
• Review tender documents and drawings
• Liaise closely with the project planner and agree on methodology and sequencing
• Understanding of contractual risks in customary infrastructure contracts.
• To generate detailed cost risk analysis and work breakdown analysis to ensure the production of high-quality cost estimates.
• Identify and prepare or assist on the risks and opportunities register
• Compile and thoroughly assess enquiries and quotations for supply and sub-contract packages
• Analytical estimation of prime costs using estimating software (Presto, Candy and/or others)
• Estimate indirect costs, including insurance, financing and escalation
• Prepare estimate settlement reports and supporting information
• Prepare submission documents and ensure timely delivery related to its work
• Actively take part and contribute to estimating-related meetings as required
• Prepare and hand over structured estimate documents to the project team
• Ensure full compliance with company's policies

Key Requirements and Skills

• Preferred degree on Civil or industrial engineering or architecture.
• 5-10-year experience as an estimator for large infrastructure projects. Some degree of experience in MEP or nuclear facilities is a plus but not required.
• Ability to summarise key concepts while providing defined metrics
• Extensive experience liaising with the supply chain
• Strong communication, time / prioritisation management and efficiency skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision in a team, in an office and in the field, in a fast-paced environment.
• Being extremely organise while enjoying challenges and fast-learning in a tight teamwork environment.
• Availability to relocate to the Alkmaar region- Netherlands in the project-based office.
• Presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency English skills. Dutch skills are well valued
