Senior Accountant

Liverpool (City Centre)

Up to £45,000

The Accounts Senior will:

  • Prepare Limited Company Accounts for clients within the SME sector and have a good knowledge of accounts compliance.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior members of the team and review of their work.
  • Prepare accounts for audit clients within the SME sector together with all associated administrative requirements.
  • Be proficient in use of Cloud systems in all activities, providing training and support to clients both at their premises and remotely.
  • Prepare working papers to assist the audit team.
  • Assist the audit team with file compilation and collating information to support the audit and accounts process.
  • Prepare consolidated accounts.
  • Work closely with members of the audit team to ensure the best possible service is provided to clients.

Ideal candidates should possess the following attributes/experience:

  • Relevant experience in the preparation of financial accounts.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or close to achieving the qualification) - although QBE will be considered.
  • Experience of Cloud-based systems, eg Xero, Quickbooks, etc.
  • Competent MS Office skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to plan, organise and deliver with accuracy and focus
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
