Job Opportunity: Estates Caretaker

Location: Hendon - NW9

Position: Estates Caretaker

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Ongoing - Potential for a Permanent Position

Company Overview:

Role Details:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 0800-1600 OR Tuesday - Friday 0900-1700 & Saturday 0800-1600 (may alternate)
  • Hourly Rate: £13.20 PAYE (including holiday pay)

Responsibilities:

  1. Communal Cleaning:

    • Perform tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and litter picking in communal areas.
  2. Basic Repairs/Maintenance:

    • Handle basic repairs and maintenance tasks, including changing door handles, handrails, and replacing light bulbs.
  3. Community Engagement:

    • Report any anti-social behaviour promptly to maintain a positive living environment.
  4. Contractor Management:

    • Coordinate effectively with contractors to ensure seamless property management.
  5. Bin Store Management:

    • Follow schedules/rotas for bin stores, ensuring they are ready for collection.
    • Regular clearing and maintenance of bin stores.
  6. Health and Safety:

    • Prioritize health and safety on-site to create a secure environment for both yourself and residents.

Requirements:

  • DBS/CRB Check:

    • An up-to-date DBS/CRB check within the last year is essential.
    • If you don't have one, we can guide you on the application process.
  • Experience:

    • Previous caretaker experience is preferred but not essential.
    • We value a "can-do" attitude and a willingness to learn.
    • Experience in cleaning, customer service, and good communication skills are advantageous.
    • Ability to send emails and read/write in English.
