Setsquare are working on behalf of a leading roofing contractor specialising in delivering high-quality roofing projects. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Somerset, based from our Wellington office. As a Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of roofing contracts, maintaining safety standards, and overseeing project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities:

* Supervise and manage multiple roofing projects simultaneously for large scale developers, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, within budget and to specification.

* Conduct pre-project site assessments and inspections to identify potential risks, develop work plans, and allocate resources accordingly.

* Coordinate with site managers, sub-contractors, and WCR management to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.

* Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards, actively addressing any deviations or issues that arise.

* Oversee the implementation of health and safety protocols on-site, conducting regular toolbox talks and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

* Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on project status to WCR Contracts Manager during a weekly contracts team meeting.

* Manage project resources, including labour, equipment, and materials.

* Provide guidance and support to the WCR on-site team, resolving conflicts, and addressing any performance or productivity concerns in conjunction with your Contracts Manager.

* Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.

* Liaise with clients and address any inquiries, concerns, or requests in a professional and timely manner.

* Prepare and submit project progress documentation, including progress reports, pre-roof certificates, mid-roof inspections, completion certificates along with defective work notices, variations, delay notices and RFI's via the WCR app.

* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and profitability.

* Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements, applying relevant knowledge to projects and team operations.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry, preferably in roofing projects.

* Solid knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and best practices.

* Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

* Strong organisational and time management abilities, able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

* Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and their practical application on construction sites.

* Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.

* Valid driver's license and willingness to work as part of a team.

* The ability to work under pressure is vital.

* Must reside within the Somerset/Dorset area.

Package:

* Salary: Starting from £32,000 depending on experience.

* Full-time position.

* Working Hours: 7:30 to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

* Holiday: 33 days including bank holidays.
